Beginnings - Newborn and Infant Sessions

The 8 month session

At 8 months, they're their own little person, beginning to really interact with and explore the world around them.

Mobility has set in for most babies. They're sitting up by themselves, they're probably crawiling (in their own style). They may even be standing, holding onto things. The world had better beware, because they're out to explore and learn about everything - mostly by putting it in their mouth.

This is when photographing the baby by herself becomes lots of fun. First of all, they now have a myriad of facial expressions, each showing one of the many moods of a baby. Every new experience is a source of joy, and we can get some of the most wonderful expressions just by letting them explore a new situation or a new toy - or even by letting them play with a favorite toy.

At eight months, our emphasis will be on the baby herself. We'll still probably capture the relationship between the two of you, but maybe in a more playful, interactive way.

Expressions -

A wonderful wall folio of 9 or 12 of the funniest and cutest facial expressions that your baby is learning how to make.

Bubbles and Bathtubs -

We found this wonderful antique wash basin that photographs so well. We can sti them in it dry, or if you'd like, add warm water and bubbles for some great photographs

The Wonder of My World

Simply getting the baby to interact with something new and fascinating can be a fabulous source of heartwarming images.

Discovering Me -

Curious about everything, watch the fun as your child discovers himself in our mirror.
